What have you read that is similar to this book? I have read lots of poetry books but this was the first poetry book dedicated to pets and it was defintiely something different.

What did you enjoy about this book? Each poem was different and not just because it was about a different pet. The angle and focus was different.

Was this a Page-Turning Book? It most definitely was. And I enjoyed the discussions we had about this book.

Blown Circuit  - Lars Guignard Do any characters grow or change during the course of the novel? Mike changed over and over, because of all the deceit. Constantly had to rethink things. I think this aspect of Mike made readers second guess the ending and the situation which then makes every page a surprise.

What problems does one of the characters have, and how does he or she solve it? Mike just tried to figure out all the clues do he could find Tesla and his father.

Where did the story take place? It had several different setting. Most of it was in or around Turkey.

The Shadow of the Unicorn: The Legacy (The Shadow of the Unicorn, #1) - Suzanne de Montigny Consider the ending. Did you expect it or were you surprised? I was really surprised and sad.

Did anyone in the book do something you did not like? Ishmael, he was bad mean man. He should not have hurt the unicorns.

Is the title a good one or a poor one and why? I do not understand where the shadow part comes into the title.

Dr Lori - Was a psychologist. There were 5 generations in her family. Nana and grandpa loved the Cleveland Indians. Dr. Lori's children graduated from college. Nana and grandpa owned a restaurant. Grandpa came from Italy. Nana came from Poland Grandpa died of cancer. Nana was given a party on her 100th birthday. Jay almost died from blood clots.

What was the problem in the book, and how was it solved?

There were struggles to grow up. Struggles to learn what family and marriage mean.

What kind of book is this? List three evidences of this

Nonfiction. The stories about her family and life. Pictures of Nana in the paper. Nana meeting many of the Cleveland Indians

Amidst Traffic

Amidst Traffic - Matthew Kovalcik (Photographer) Formatting / Appearance. Did not find a single problem with the formatting or appearance of this book.

How would the book have been different if it had taken place in a different time or place? The author did not write about modern electronics. He did have a few sentences where modern vehicles were used and air planes. But I personally felt these stories could take place in almost any time from when vehicles and planes were in use.

What makes a minor character memorable? The actions they take. I felt there were a handful of minor characters throughout all the stories.

Semmant

Semmant - Vadim Babenko How realistic was the characterization? Bogdan was an eccentric in every aspect of his life. He was moody and unfilled. Just as most people of genius levels are. He was irrational concerning many topics.

How does the setting figure into the book? Never really felt like I was there. He wasn't ever content or happy and these feelings sometimes passed on to the reader.

What are some of the book's themes? His many career changes, his many women. A hunger that couldn't be satisfied. How rich he became from Semmant playing the stock market.

Sex and Death in the American Novel - Sarah Martinez How did you feel about the main character? I liked Vivianna, but felt she did not fully understand the relationship between her parents. She blamed everything on her father.

What did you enjoy about this book? All the heated discussions during the book club. What defines great literature? What makes a book a classic? Just because a book was wrote 50 -100 years ago does not make it a classic.

At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters? I feel hope that Vivi, Jasper and Alejandro will live a happy life.

Time Killer

Time Killer - Todd M Thiede Describe 2 different settings or locations. Max and Jesse’s first visit to the hospital to visit Stephen. I understand this was fiction but in real life I honestly do not believe the police would just walk away without some information.

Max in the hotel room after waking up from a night where nightmares tormented him. Jesse was kind enough to watch over him during the night.

Favourite location / setting … Enjoyed reading about the detectives at the first crime scene.

How realistic was the characterization? All the characters seemed real. The actions by the characters read like real life.

Sleeper's Run

Sleeper's Run - Henry Mosquera What was the main character like? Eric comes across as a drunk first. But as you learn more about his PTSD, you tend to feel empathy for him and want to make sure he gets the answers he needs.

Is the title a good one or a poor one and why? The title fits the story so well. It was perfect and in some ways, the story moved the reader into a running pace as well.

What is stronger in the book: plot or character development? The book club members and I are drawn on this. Some of us believe the plot is strongest while others believe character development is strongest. Whether it was intentional or not, I will leave that up to the author or future readers to answer.

Dark Side of Sunset Pointe - A Lance Underphal Mystery - Michael Allan Scott
Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, it was a heck of a story, filled with all kinds of twists and turns.

How does the setting figure into the book? There were many different settings and the author was really good at bringing each one to life.

What I liked – I liked the overall plot. The characters were interesting and much of it relates to the problems of today. It was believable.

Do any characters grow or change during the course of the novel? Lance is able to change his pitiful existence after he helps Frank with the investigation.

January Exposure - Sunny Benson
Compare two of the characters in this book. Ellie - brains, driven, loner, plain, loner. Tandy - beautiful, kung fu queen , wife and mother.

What part would you change in the story, and why? I would have a good guy in Ellie's life. Because she's tired of being alone and she deserves a family of her own.

Tell what you think is the climax of the book and why. When Rick was found naked and buried in the snow.

Who do you think the author intended to read this book and why? Anyone who loves reading whodunit mystery books.

How did the main character feel during the book? She was scared but confident. She stayed calm in every situation. She used every bit of knowledge she read about. Excellent character development and implementation.

Describe 2 different settings or locations. A beautiful hotel in India, called Grand Delhi Palace. When the giant elephant spoke to Zoe from the bottom of the pool.

What was the mystery was and how it was solved. The mystery was where the map led and the discovery of the Ghost Leopard.

A Tale of the Other Kind - Leandi Cameron
At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters? I have hope for all the characters. Especially for Kai and Sienna. This was definitely a good read and I look forward to reading the second book in the series.

What are your concerns about this book? My concern is the ending. It was too easy, almost to the point of boring

What are the most revealing scenes? The changing from human to animal. The author's description makes this to be a personal process. The reader becomes a spectator. I liked it very much.

Did you find any flaws in the book? No, did not find any flaws. The characters, setting and plot were all well-developed and executed.

Daimones (Daimones Trilogy, #1) - Massimo Marino Tell in your own words the beginning of the book. It starts with a bunch of statitiscs of dead animals from around the world.

Describe what is happening in the first illustration in the book Dan was very scared for his family. He taught them to shoot. Gathered many supplies. Brought home two dogs for protection.

What did the title have to do with the book? It is the name the aliens were called.

Here Among Us - Maggie Harryman Did you find any flaws in the book? The characters and the plot didn't seem to jive. It was as if they were out of balance sometimes.

What did you like most about the book? Michael, because he was to be Flynn's saving grace.

What are some of the major themes of this book? The siblings are the main focus.

At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters? Yes, I feel hope for all the characters.

What you think is the climax of the book and why. When Marly told Grace, what really happened that night. Grace finally had the answers, she had been searching for.

What part would you change in the story, and why? Would have had Grace be able to heal her mother. So Grace wouldn't feel so guilty.
